Introduction
Greetings and Permission Ceremony-Inabayan Floral Wreath Welcome and Rain Prayer Instrumental Experience
"Palan" signifies "stone," and the stone slabs at the entrance represent our ancestors' past dwellings and the natural ecology of the mountains and forests. Local elders seek protection and blessings from the Creator for a safe journey.
Adorning the floral wreath represents the Pinuyumayan people's unique, delicate generosity in their lives and the natural beauty they effortlessly derive from the environment. Wearing these wreaths signifies a welcoming gesture that was traditionally used by people while working outdoors or in the mountains.
Forest Immersion
Experience walking on the paths of Bunun ancestors who hunted, identifying various animal tracks, and learning how to set traps based on these tracks. Learn how to navigate when lost, distinguishing mountain directions or identifying directions based on the night sky. Understand why it's perilous to walk towards the stream direction and the benefits of staying on the mountain ridge. Guides will also share intriguing anecdotes from their experiences in the mountains.
Traditional Culinary Culture
Savor the sweetness and thirst-quenching nature of the slowly brewed wild vegetable tea over a wood fire, with hints of grassiness from the vegetables and a faint aroma of the firewood, offering a serene and refreshing experience that momentarily alleviates the fatigue from the climb, providing a taste of nature.
