Introduction
An Appointment with Farmers
Let's dress up like farmers and learn the simple attire of tea pickers!
A combination of straw hats, headscarves, sleeves, and bamboo baskets, perfectly match the beautiful colors of Luye's blue sky and green fields.
In the tea garden eco-tour, professional guides from farming families lead everyone through the surrounding landscape of the Luye tea gardens and the basic growth conditions of tea trees. Naturally, the farmers also hope that everyone can pick and produce tea leaves (one bud and two leaves). Accompanied by the "qia qia" sound of picking and the seasonal sounds of birds and insects, every second brings joy and relaxation. If you are lucky, you might find the legendary small green leafhopper in the fields, which can create a honey fragrance flavor!
Tea Session
Under the guidance of a tea master, learn about the basic utensils for brewing and tasting tea on the tea table. How long does it take to brew a good pot of tea? Which direction should the hole in the lid be turned for the tea to taste best when poured? What is the purpose of the fairness cup (pitcher) on the table? Why do we need a tea waste bowl? Through the sharing and chatting during the tea session, different tea-tasting experiences from various life contexts are gradually unveiled.
Tasting the Craftsmanship: The Layers of Tea
The temperature of a pot of hot water slowly opens up the tea leaves inside the pot. Over time, the color of the tea gradually develops. The red oolong tea is durable for multiple infusions because of its rolled shape. Each infusion reveals different layers of flavor due to the varying temperatures when tasted. The tea aroma floating in the air and the floral and fruity notes tasted at the end embody the most intriguing aspects of tea-making craftsmanship, emerging like a spring at this moment.
Come on! Brew a good pot of tea, not for anyone else, but for yourself first!
