Introduction
The blessing rite before entering the mountain
Before you enter the mountain, Bunun people have the tradition of introducing their selves to their ancestors. They pray to their ancestors to bless them with a safe journey. They see farting and sneezing as a taboo that could lead to bad luck.
Hunting Culture & Hunting Trail Experience
Experience walking on the paths of Bunun ancestors who hunted, identifying various animal tracks, and learning how to set traps based on these tracks. Learn how to navigate when lost, distinguishing mountain directions or identifying directions based on the night sky. Understand why it's perilous to walk towards the stream direction and the benefits of staying on the mountain ridge. Guides will also share intriguing anecdotes from their experiences in the mountains.
Introduction to Wild Hydrating Plants
Experienced guides will teach you about several plants that can provide hydration when there's no water source available on the mountains.
