Night Visit to Fugang Geopark
Located north of Fugang Fishing Port on the east coast, Fugang Geopark is the southernmost recreational spot in the East Coast National Scenic Area. The environment here features unique geological formations of peculiar rocks and diverse coastal flora and fauna. Night Visit activity takes advantage of the area's dark, mysterious nights and minimal light pollution, offering guided tours by experts to explore the rich nocturnal ecology of Fugang Geopark.
Guided Tour of Fugang Geopark on the East Coast
Fugang Geopark on the east coast features sedimentary layers of thick sandstone and thin mudstone, with massive sandstone slabs inverted due to geological processes. Over time, erosion by waves has sculpted these formations into unique and varied landscapes, showcasing distinct geological features such as tilted ridges, honeycomb rocks, turtle-shell rocks, tofu rocks, and mushroom-shaped rocks. The park also boasts rich biodiversity, making it a must-visit destination.
Guided Tour of Fugang Fishing Port
Located adjacent to Fugang Geopark on the Taitung coastline, this tour highlights the Fugang Tourist Fish Market and the local cultural attractions like the Hai Shen Temple. Fugang Fishing Port is renowned for its abundant marine resources, which historically sustained the local community through fishing. Today, facing declining oceanic resources, the community is transitioning towards tourism.
